One benefit to walking and not running is ...you can take longer to admire the wonderful views! The distant mountains on the skyline are the Coniston fells and the Langdale Pikes.

ON MONDAY SEPTEMBER 7TH, JENNY AND PAULA WERE DUE TO START THEIR WEST HIGHLAND WAY RUN. IN TRAINING, THEY RAN OVER 2000 MILES, WORE OUT SEVERAL PAIRS OF TRAINERS, CONSUMED HUGE AMOUNTS OF ENERGY GELS, FLAPJACK, JAFFA CAKES, JELLY BABIES, PICNICS AND ENERGY BARS IN EVERY FLAVOUR (EXCEPT BANANA, YUK!!) THEN,DUE TO INJURY, IT HAD TO BE POSTPONED UNTIL MAY 2010. SO....MORE MILES, TRAINERS, ENERGY BARS, FLAPJACK, JELLY BABIES, ETC ETC......... LET THE FUN BEGIN!!!!
