Spooney Green, Keswick

As compensation for missing out on the Scotland trip, Paula and Jenny (and Phil and Glenn) had an almost perfect weekend in this B and B. The only thing stopping it from being perfect was Jenny getting up close and personal with the compost heap! DON'T ASK!!

.....and Glenn drank all the sherry!

Breaking News!

Paula and Jenny have been spotted trotting along the Prom this evening.....slow but steady.  It may not be the long distances over rough ground that they're used to and they may not have needed to eat half a box of Jaffa cakes each to make it to the finish BUT its a good start.

Thanks for being there Paula :-)

Walking on Hampsfell

One benefit to walking and not running is ...you can take longer to admire the wonderful views! The distant mountains on the skyline are the Coniston fells and the Langdale Pikes.

FRIENDS!

Paula is posting this photo for the pure and simple reason to make Jenny smile!!!

West Highland Way Escapes until The Spring....

After much deliberation, Jenny has decided she'll not be fit to do the West Highland Way in two weeks time....

But!  The good news is

- Paula and Jenny will be heading up to Scotland in May to do the West Highland Way.
- By the Spring, they'll be faster, fitter, leaner and meaner :-)
- Paula and Jenny have a few things planned to keep them busy during their September week.
- The blog is going to stay live, so you can see what they're up to between now and then.
- By May 2010, they may have ditched banana flavour energy bars and invented Gin and Tonic flavour ones?
